A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES
Jaguar Land Rover Tech Fest played host to an array of new innovations and ideas.
The event stretched across three days and was dedicated to stimulating conversations and questions about how we can all live together in a safer, cleaner, more connected world.
There were exhibits and vehicles on show at Tech Fest that highlighted our commitment to electrification, demonstrated by new electric models from Jaguar’s past, present and future.
Our engineers and designers were also on hand to answer questions and explain how to become a part of the Jaguar Land Rover family.

GEORGE LAMB AT TECH FEST
George Lamb was given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Tech Fest, check out his his take on the future of mobility in the film below:
Hello, My Name is Sayer
When cars can drive themselves, will you still need a steering wheel? We think so. We believe you should always have the option to take the wheel. Our vision is of a steering wheel like never before. introducing Sayer, the intelligent steering wheel that will revolutionise the way you live your life.
THE FUTURE IS ELECTRIC
Electric vehicles will be a key part of Jaguar Land Rover’s future. Our Ingenium powered engines will be essential on the road to electrification and from 2020, all of our new cars will be electrified. The present, past and future of electrification is here.
THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY
The Jaguar FUTURE-TYPE is a fully autonomous electric concept that imagines mobility in a world where Jaguar customers can summon a fully-charged FUTURE-TYPE on-demand.
Women in Engineering
Men dominate the UK automotive industry, filling 91 per cent of engineering roles. There are fewer women in senior roles and there is a gender pay gap made worse by the low number of women becoming engineers. Helping women reach their full potential isn't only the right thing to do, diversity is also good for business.
Skills and Recruitment
At Jaguar Land Rover we are changing outdated perceptions, showing parents, teachers and children alike that engineering is not a ‘spanner and hammer’ job for the boys. Engineering and technology are open to all and can offer a lifetime of opportunities and inventive, creative careers.
FROM WASTE TO WAVES
Every Jaguar Land Rover car starts it's life as a model made from clay and polyurethane. That's potentially 40 tonnes of plastic waste being sent to landfill each year. Finding innovative ways to reduce and recycle waste is part of the solution to the challenges we all face.
JAGUAR LAND ROVER TECH FEST
OUR ELECTRIC FUTURE
This year at Tech Fest we are unveiling our vision for our electric future mobility in VR - and it doesn't get more exciting. Also see our latest electric performance SUV, the stunning Jaguar I-PACE Concept
LIMITLESS POTENTIAL THROUGH CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY
Experience the state of the art technology and innovation that defines the luxurious Range Rover Velar and learn how engineering is not a "spanner and hammer" job for boys. From making electric cars to partnering with Gorillaz, see how we are changing the perception of the industry.
TECHNOLOGY WITH HEART
We believe that technology can help us. From the everyday to solving some of the big issues we all face. We will be showing how we are shaping and inventing technology to be a force for good, including drone flying cars that help the Red Cross save lives.
THE CHANGING WORLD AND HOW WE ARE SHAPING IT:
In a fast-changing world, we see exciting opportnities for us all. At Jaguar Land Rover, we're not content just be part of a changing world, we're helping to shape it.
Jaguar Land Rover's Tech Fest is your chance to be the first to see and experience our latest designs, innovations and our vision of the future.
POPULATIONS AND CITIES ARE GROWING
We're continuing to invest in clean, smart, connected cars, game-changing technology and innovation projects to develop "smart" societies with improved mobility. In partnership with government, academia and wider industry, we're passionate about playing our part to help keep our cities moving and healthy.
RAW MATERIALS AND NATURAL RESOURCES ARE FINITE
Old "take-make-waste" thinking is unsustainable. Through new "closed-loop" manufacturing processes, we're dong more with our cars, extending the life of our vehicles and components, maximising recycling and minimising waste to landfill.
WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE?
We can all do something to limit the carbon emissions each of us produces. At Jaguar Land Rover, we're focused on providing a choice of fuel-efficient vehicles with lower impacts across the board. Energy efficiency in our industrial plants is another priority. We already use 100% renewable electricity to power our operations.
NEW SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO PIONEER FUTURE INNOVATION
We're continuing to invest heavily in inspirational programmes for children and young people, to encourage the next generation of engineering and technology pioneers. Inside our Company, innovation, research and lifelong learning are the routes to new skills, new ideas and new solutions that will shape the future.
LARGE COMPANIES NEED TO MAKE A WIDER CONTRIBUTION
We're not just thinking about the vehicles we make but the ways to solve the major challenges facing disadvantaged people everywhere. We're targeting areas where we can apply our "people first" philosophy and engineering expertise to help create a better future for all.
THE FUTURE STARTS HERE
At Jaguar Land Rover, we don't claim to predict everything that tomorrow holds. What we do know is that the future is close, the future is exciting and the future depends on what we do today.
