First Range Rover - Social distance
First Range Rover - Social distance

People are our greatest asset. They are at the core of the company; designing, engineering, building and delivering new premium products and services.

We are therefore continuing to go above and beyond to support the fight against COVID-19, to protect the Jaguar Land Rover family as well as individuals and communities across the globe.

We are one of the first businesses in the UK to introduce onsite COVID-19 testing to safeguard the health of our people and our visitors during the global pandemic.

We have joined forces with occupational health provider Health Partners to provide testing at our manufacturing sites in Solihull and Halewood.

We will offer a test to any employee or onsite supplier partner who displays symptoms of the virus and is unable to access an NHS test in a timely manner.

In our UK facilities, we have installed effective social distancing, hygiene and health monitoring in all our production lines, engineering facilities, offices and communal spaces.

Measures include daily temperature checks with thermal cameras, a two-metre distance rule between people wherever possible, one-way systems, face coverings in communal areas and enhanced cleaning.

Hundreds of litres of bespoke hand sanitiser have been produced at the Solihull factory. Pocket-sized bottles are given to everyone as they return to work at Solihull and the EMC.

All of our UK employees have also been provided with a reusable face covering.

Although we have now resumed production across all our manufacturing sites, contractors and visitors are only admitted if deemed to be business critical.

To keep our customers safe, we have created vehicle walkaround videos, online ordering and retailer consultations and socially distanced Jaguar and Land Rover showroom appointments. Customers can also get behind the wheel on unaccompanied test drives, in accordance with the government’s latest COVID-19 regulations.

When the time comes to collect a vehicle, we guarantee the strictest of social-distancing and hygiene standards at our retailers, including a contactless handover.

When the crisis first hit the UK, we were making around 14,000 protective face visors each week for key workers.

We have one of the most sophisticated 3D-printing facilities in Europe, at our Advanced Product Creation Centre in Gaydon. Visors produced here were shipped to NHS trusts across the UK.

We release our NHS-approved CAD design, so businesses with Additive Manufacturing facilities can meet the global demand for more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Around the world, our people and partners are helping the fight against COVID-19 in their own communities.

More than 360 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles were deployed globally to support frontline emergency responders in Australia, Spain, South Africa, Brazil, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands.

Hundreds of vehicles have been supplied to our long standing partner, the British Red Cross during their 150th anniversary year, to provide practical support such as medicine and food deliveries, or to transport patients to and from hospital.

We are also supporting West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust with vehicles to help test staff isolating with coronavirus symptoms
