Our Commitment to Diversity

Jaguar Land Rover becomes the first OEM to sign the Race at Work Charter

At Jaguar Land Rover we are committed to diversity, inclusion and creating an inclusive working culture where all employees are respected, connected and included.

At Jaguar Land Rover we have eight active, employee-led networks with more than 1,500 members across them. These are:

  • B.A.M.E - Black Asian Minority Ethnic Network
  • PRIDE - LGBT+ Network
  • GEN - Gender Equality Network
  • WIE&A - Women in Engineering & Allies
  • Shine - Disability Network
  • Christian Fellowship
  • ISOC - Islamic Society
  • NA Drive - North American Diversity Network

Established in September 2018, the BAME network represents and advocates the views, recruitment and development of black, Asian and minority ethnic employees. We are proud to champion racial equality in the workplace and are the first OEM to sign the Business in the Community (BITC) Race at Work Charter. As a signatory, we commit to:

  • Appointing an Executive Sponsor to champion racial equality in our business
  • Regularly capturing ethnicity data and publicising our progress towards equal representation
  • Committing at Board level to a ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy towards harassment and bullying
  • Ensuring all leader and managers understand that supporting equality in the workplace is their collective responsibility
  • Supporting the career progression of employees from ethnic minority backgrounds

In this film, members of the BAME network share what Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to the Race at Work Charter means to them.
